Our Journey

Founded in 2011 Sequence is a collection of jewelry and accessories designed by El Salvadorian-born Ariela Suster. After years of working in New York City as a fashion and accessories editor at iconic publications such as Instyle, Lucky and Harpers Bazaar she started Sequence: a line inspired by the vibrant design and culture of Latin America.

Her love of '70s bohemia, mixed with modern pops of color, is evident in every memorable piece which is expertly handcrafted by local artisans in Tepecoyo, an El Salvadorian neighborhood near Ariela's hometown

In the two years since the Sequence workshop opened its doors, it's become like a second home to employees, offering steady work, weekend art classes and a positive alternative to local gang culture. This convergence of high style and down-to-earth, old school craftsmanship is what makes sequence truly unique. Each style, beautifully created out of ambition and spirit, gives back to the community, spreading light + love along the way

"We live our lives creating our own sequence, our unique story. Our purpose is to positively influence the sequence of someone else's story."

- Ariela Suster
