M·A·C Cosmetics selected Sequence to produce their holiday 2015 corporate gifting program for all 21,000 employees globally. Our artisans in El Salvador created two costume bracelets for the initiative, one in black and white and one in black and red, that mirror the beauty leader’s signature colors. Each employee will receive the bracelet and a note about how our missions are inextricably aligned. Our aim is to disrupt the cycle of violence that limits at-risk youth, while M·A·C has long sought to serve people of all ages, races and sexes affected by HIV and AIDS through their remarkable M·A·C AIDS FUND. We have collaborated to shed light on the epidemic in countries and communities where people are most neglected. Standing with the M·A·C AIDS FUND, we embrace and celebrate humanity, creativity and individuality—one bracelet at a time.
As part of the initiative, the M·A·C AIDS Fund bestowed a grant on our partner, the non-profit organization Glasswing International, to design a mentorship program that focuses on stopping the spread of HIV and AIDS in El Salvador. Glasswing International assigned trainers to visit the Sequence workshop and train our artists on life skills, self-esteem, sexual and reproductive health, as well as HIV and AIDS prevention. Participation in activities including meditation, life-coaching and dynamic group workshops has brought our team even closer together. Our Sequence artists will become mentors in their communities by sharing their newfound knowledge. We will continue to spread our message of #Noviolence along with a new message in #StopAIDS. It’s a fitting, inspiring and charitable way to commemorate the holiday season.
